What was the solution? I've found that sometimes I need to actually reduce the size of the primary Exchange inbox for it to not time out, even though I didn't have anything near 10k messages. A small sacrifice I guess for being able to use TB with Exchange!

Hi,

After a bit of tinkering with settings I got about 2 of 10 thousand messages to load and then Thunderbird times out.

I have logging on and can see what I think I should be seeing but TB keeps dumping on time. Do you know of a way to stop that from hitting me?

So every time I connect it seems to need to go over that first 2k messages and I run out of time.

Ideas?

Oh and very good helper page I have to say. I read a bunch of threads and posts from the author and let's just say this is the only thing clean, clear and helpful.

Thanks for your time,
Randy

When I visit the 2nd url and download the file owa-0-7-0a28.zip, I see one file, a .xpi, inside it. Not sure why your download isn't showing the same?

I'm having issues with the owa extension from the url your provided... I was able to install the webmail xpi from the first url, but from the 2nd url I grabbed the owa zip file and inside of it is not an xpi file... rather it seems to be the contents of the xpi file? renaming the zip file to .xpi doesn't make it work (xpi files are essentially zip files with a different name, feel free to look up how you make mozilla extensions and see what I mean) since it says that the install script can't be found. install.rdf is definitely in there, so maybe the chromo.manifest file is referencing the wrong information, I'm not sure. I have tried looking all over the internet for another copy of this elusive owa extension for thunderbird and can't find anything. If you could elaborate on how you were able to get the OWA extension working with thunderbird and the webmail extension, I'd be much abliged.
